Tech Edge West is located in the north-western corner of the campus. The site for the proposed development is a brownfield land located at the end of Curie Avenue, within the Lab/Office space development area of the Harwell Campus, adjacent to Tech Edge 1&2 which are currently under construction.
The brief for the project involves the construction of a new 70,000sq ft speculative multi-occupier, multi-use building to provide flexible letting of multiple mid-tech units and to provide a base design for a ‘shell and core’ready for future tenant fit-out.
Flexibility is key for assuring the spaces can be occupied by a range of organisations with varying spatial requirements. In order to satisfy the exacting operational requirements, the proposed development has been designed in close consultation with both Harwell Campus and the appointed multi-disciplinary Design Team.
