The project is being developed in the midst of a complex planning environment due to the updates to the building regulations post confirmation of planning approval, that necessitated Section 73 submittal to ensure that the requirements of Part L and Part O were captured within the design.
The etch team have worked collaboratively with the Client to deliver a high quality scheme which is a welcome addition to the area and adds significant value to the local community.
Delivering a low energy scheme has been a key component of the brief and the etch team have completed a complex, fossil fuel free heating and hot water system that will be ready made for the net zero carbon future.
David, Steve, Jeremy, Ben, Tom, Lindsey & Georgia have worked exceptionally closely with the design team to ensure that the low energy requirements compliment the aesthetic quality of the building and lead to a high quality development across a series of metrics.
The development is adjacent to residential and commercial properties and close engagement was necessary to ensure that support for the planning application was present during the application process. This necessitated an open and collaborative approach to building consensus for the project.
The etch team were appointed to provide a multi disciplinary team including MEP, sustainability, building physics & acoustic engineering services.
