Jacob has 6years’ experience as a mechanical engineer and has developed extensive skills in the technical delivery of projects across all work stages. Jacob regularly designs and manages the design process for varying scales of projects from RIBA stages 1-6.This includes involvement at the early conceptual stage, through to site installation reviews during construction.

Jacob previously fulfilled a role within an MEP contracting practice, working on a variety of projects ranging in size and complexity. This has allowed him to develop a comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, design guidance documents and codes of practice in additional to practical site exposure.

Jacob is responsible for the design of all mechanical systems across various sectors including new build and refurbishment projects within educational, commercial and student residential buildings. His day-to-day role includes the production of design calculations, schedules, specifications, schematics and layout drawings.He closely collaborates with the wider design team across projects, assisting in the production of co-ordinated information such as 3D models, Part L compliance testing and overheating assessments.
